2024

For 2024 Vegan Camp Out stayed at Bicester Heritage and made a lot of improvements to the 2023 event such as more toilets, coffee and fencing, improved accessible access and recycling/waste management and it was the introduction of 2 more brand new areas - 'Mind and Body After Dark' and 'The Block'! The attendance was roughly 12,000 people and featured people such as Kate Nash, Chris Packham, Michael Greger, Earthling Ed, Simon Amstell, P Money and others on the line-up. The main issue was that the water went down for a number of hours but attendees didn't let it ruin their spirits! Whilst there were some issues, we and others seemed to feel that it was a more improved version of 2023! The event also raised a whopping £80,000 for various animal charities from ticket sales!

2023

Vegan Camp Out 2023 was held at Bicester Heritage in Oxfordshire and was attended by over 13,000 people - our biggest audience to date! It also held potentially our biggest artist line-up of all time, featuring such names as Romesh Ranganathan, Sam Ryder, Josh Franceschi (You Me at Six), Bob Vylan, Etherwood and more - all first timers to VCO! This was the year we added a new area called Slipshod which focused on circus, art and multi-genre dance DJs such as Techno and Drum and Bass. It was also the first Vegan Camp Out to suffer any serious rain but we made the most of it and we're lucky we've only had it once out of 8 events *touch wood*.

2022

2022 saw over 12,000 people in attendance and it was so refreshing to finally be out of restrictions and lockdowns for good! We held the event at Stanford Hall where we hosted a mini rave in the woods and also had a lake for people to take a dip in, which was a good job as it was the hottest Vegan Camp Out yet (reaching temperatures as high as 34 degrees!). We had over 50 food vendors serve at the event. Speakers and artists such as Earthling Ed, Evanna Lynch, Simon Amstell, Lucy Watson, JME Gaz Oakley, Bimini Bon-Boulash and many others spoke or performed at the festival!

2021

2021 was a sell-out event seeing 11,750 people attend from almost 40 countries around the world. We had the most food vendors we've ever had (45!) and an incredible line-up which included Russell Brand, BOSH!, Chris Packham, Joey Carbstrong, Benjamin Zephaniah, P Money, Cosmic Skeptic and more! This was our last year at Newark Showground and announced Stanford Hall as the new venue for the 2022 event!

2019

2019 was again our biggest festival yet, with nearly 7,500 people coming from over 40 countries! We had an impressive line-up that included Earthling Ed, Matt Pritchard, Shikari Sound System, Akala and many more.

2018

For 2018 we took it to the next level, again, and moved venue for the third year in a row in order to increase our capacity. We also sold out in advance for the third year. We saw over 5,000 people attend from over 30 countries around the world, and had a fantastic line-up including Simon Amstell, JME, Macka B, Neal Barnard, Melanie Joy, Heather Mills and many more!

2017

For 2017 we knew we had to go big, and we did just that. We got a brand new venue, invited some of the world's most influential speakers, had activism workshops, and over 2,700 people in attendance! People flew from over 30 countries around the world to come to the event, it was truly a world first!

2016

We only had a few months to sort 2016, but over 400 people turned up from all around the country. There were no talks, no stalls, just 400 loud (and a few drunk) vegans in a field with one food vendor! It was a chance for people who had only spoken to each other online to finally meet in person. And we danced on the field until 2am with an outdoor DJ. It was a beautiful weekend, and everyone was very sad when they had to leave.
